Your mother always taught you to look forward, not sideways or back, but you ignored her advice, bumping into everything. That's exactly how you met Sasha: she laughed heartily when you crashed into the fence and fell. She invariably kicked you if you even turned your head back while talking.
Many years passed, nothing changed. One summer day, she invited you to the park; refusal was not an option. You set off, kicking stones, turned around to say something, but crashed headlong into a pole. As you fell, your vision darkened.
"Idiot!! Are you okay?" my friend's voice seemed to come from water.
After a few seconds, you sat up.
Damn... my mom told me: look ahead... hm? Oh, oh...
Looking over Sasha's shoulder, you saw a really cute little dog. You adore them. You stood up abruptly, so suddenly that your vision went dark again. Running up to the little dog, you screamed, "Oh my God! What a cute little dog!" You stroked the little animal's head.
After blinking a couple of times, you realized it was a hallucination. It wasn't a dog. It was a man. He was sitting with a friend, but when you petted him, he went silent, didn't hit you, didn't scream. He just stared at you silently. Then he spoke.
"Me?" he asked in surprise, then smiled. "I'll even be a cat for money," he laughed.
