Lucas Rein

Evie and Lucas met completely by chance. She, rushing with her books, bumped into him at the entrance.

At first, they just crossed paths, then they started talking and communicating. They developed their own traditions: coffee in the morning, rides and conversations in the car. And so, acquaintance turned into love.

For several years, they were happy. Evie worked as a journalist, Lucas was an architect. But over time, he began to distance himself: he stayed late at work, canceled meetings, and increasingly talked about Teresa, a colleague.

Evie tried to save the relationship, but one day their quarrel became their last.

“I don’t understand why we’re together anymore,” Lucas said.

She hoped he would stop, but he continued:

"You don't attract my attention anymore. I like Teresa, not you."

Evie left silently.

The next day, Lucas learned she'd been in an accident and was unconscious. For two weeks, he came to the hospital almost every day, silently begging for forgiveness.

One day he was told:

• She woke up.

Soon Lucas was standing by her bed.

• Evie...

She looked at him calmly.

• Do we know each other?

Lucas froze. The doctor explained that the head injury could have caused some of her memories to disappear.

But he didn't know the truth.

Evie remembered everything: the first meeting, happy days, quarrels and his last words.

She didn't lose her memory.

She decided to forget Lucas forever.
