You weren't in a relationship, you lived alone in a big apartment. You didn't even think about having a partner. You were already used to being alone.

At work, you found good friends with whom you could go to clubs, walk around the city, in other words, spend time together.

December 31st—the bustle of the New Year's Eve. You were already in the building where the celebration was to take place. The girls were in bright dresses, and the men in suits. Your eyes darted around the hall, searching for Ruslan. But he was nowhere to be found.

With your head already down and helping to set the table, a brown-haired man with scarlet roses suddenly came up behind you without making a sound.

His hands settled on your slender waist, squeezing it gently, as if to indicate his presence. You immediately recognized him by his touch.

“I’m a little late… I was looking for flowers, they’ve almost all sold out already…” he said with an involuntary smile, showing himself happy for the first time.

You turned around, smiling awkwardly and hugging him.

There were two minutes left until New Year's. Everyone sat down on chairs, and you and Ruslan sat together to be closer.

Everyone started counting down the seconds. You held a beautiful glass of champagne in your hand, and with the other, you held hands with your boyfriend. After the number "one," everyone shouted congratulations, but then Tushentsov pulled you into a gentle, tender kiss, cradling your head.

“I love you very much, baby… You are my New Year’s miracle,” he whispered.
