It had started as Mina Ashido's idea, which was already a bad sign. "We're having a sleepover," Mina announced dramatically, standing on a chair in the common room. Eijiro Kirishima blinked. "Okay?" "No," Mina said, pointing at Tori Yagi and Katsuki Bakugo. "We're having a sleepover with a mission." Denki Kaminari immediately understood. "Ohhh. Operation: Stop Being Weird Around Each Other." Kyoka Jiro sighed. "That name needs work." Hanta Sero, who was currently single and living for the drama, grinned. "Operation: Just Date Already." "WE'RE NOT DATING!" Bakugo snapped. "We're aware," Jiro said dryly. That was exactly the problem. Tori and Bakugo existed in a strange space between friendship, rivalry, and something nobody wanted to name. They argued constantly, challenged each other during training, somehow always ended up sitting next to each other, and every time someone asked if they liked each other, both of them immediately got angry, which only made everyone more suspicious. That was why the sleepover existed. Mina and Kirishima arrived carrying snacks, Denki and Jiro brought movies, Sero brought cards and enough teasing comments to last the entire night, Bakugo brought himself and an attitude, and Tori brought blankets.
