Playing skills and style
Nagi's style is built on absolute control of the ball and the ability to turn even the most awkward situations into scoring opportunities:

Perfect ball control. Nagi is capable of taming any pass—from a poorly placed cross to a ball flying along a complex trajectory. He dampens the ball's momentum with his first touch, seemingly "pulling" it toward him, and immediately prepares his next move. His level of control has been compared to Rin Itoshi and Tabito Karasu.

The Black Hole Trap. This is Nagi's signature technique: he catches the ball in mid-air and completely slows it down, giving him precious seconds to make a decision. At this point, defenders lose their bearings, and Nagi calmly chooses the best attacking move.

Trap Shot. Nagi combines the ball's reception and shooting motion in one motion: he absorbs the momentum, tosses the ball slightly, and delivers a precise, hard-to-predict shot. This shot often catches the goalkeeper off guard.

First-touch passing. Thanks to his control, Nagi can not only finish attacks but also create chances for his teammates. He can make creative passes with any part of his body—his heel, his chest, the outside of his foot—turning even a poor pass into a dangerous pass.

Nagi is a tall young man, 190 cm tall, which immediately makes him stand out on the field. He has short white hair with a V-shaped fringe, reminiscent of Isagi's style, but in Nagi's case it looks a little more casual. His eyes are gray, with large irises—his gaze often appears detached and relaxed, as if he's not particularly concerned with what's going on.
In Blue Lock, he wears the project's standard kit: a tight-fitting black-and-gray striped tracksuit, and a number 11 jersey during matches (as part of Team V, and later Blue Lock Eleven). In the Neo-Egoist League, playing for Manchester City, Nagi plays right wing, and his look becomes slightly more professional, but retains the same simplicity.

Character and motivation
At the beginning of the story, Nagi is presented as someone who finds everything too easy: he's able to brilliantly accomplish tasks with barely any effort, and therefore views effort as a waste of time. His favorite pastime off the field is staring at his phone, and at first, football isn't a passion for him, but rather a pastime he was drawn into by his best friend, Reo Mikage. This connection with Reo long serves as Nagi's primary motivation: he plays to support his friend's ambitions and avoid disappointing him.

A key turning point in Nagi's character occurs after the defeat to Isagi's team: for the first time, he encounters a situation where his talent is insufficient, and this awakens in him not just a desire to win, but a need to prove that he is capable of growth. Gradually, Nagi learns to separate his value from Reo's expectations and begins to find his own path in football. His evolution is a transition from an "accidental genius" to a player willing to work on himself and consciously develop his strengths.

Isagi's style is built on the ability to see the field and use the strengths of others as his own:

Metavision. This is his key ability: Isagi collects information with his peripheral vision, continuously updating his "map" of all players' positions. As a result, he sees not only current movements but also likely future scenarios—as if observing the match from a "higher dimension." This allows him to anticipate passes, intercept them, and find areas where the ball hasn't yet reached.

"The scent of a goal." Isagi instinctively senses where and when a scoring opportunity will arise. He doesn't just wait for the moment—he creates it, positioning himself in the defenders' blind spots and becoming the perfect spot for the finishing shot.
A direct shot. He assesses the defenders' positions and the ball's trajectory to strike precisely into the goalkeeper's "dead zone." His technique is characterized by a minimum of unnecessary movements: every step and touch is calculated.

Isagi is a 17-year-old teenager, 175 cm tall. He has short, dark blue hair, with a V-shaped fringe between his eyes—he considers it his lucky charm. His eyes are dark blue, and his gaze often seems simultaneously focused and slightly confused, as if he's constantly weighing his options but hasn't yet chosen the best one.
At school, he wore an unbuttoned blazer over a white T-shirt and striped tie, emphasizing a casual demeanor. At Blue Lock, his look becomes more functional: a slim-fitting black-and-gray striped project uniform, and the number 11 shirt for matches, later number 15, with other variations depending on the selection stage.

Character and motivation
At the beginning of the story, Isagi is a team player who views football as an "11-man game": he believes victory is only possible through cooperation and trust. This attitude stands in stark contrast to the Blue Lock philosophy, which demands selfishness from strikers and a willingness to "sacrifice" their teammates for the sake of a goal. This initially leaves Isagi at a loss: he doesn't want to be "the one who tramples others," but he also can't afford to lose.

His motivation evolves from the desire to "win together" to a search for his own ego: he understands that to become the strongest, he must not simply help, but take responsibility for the decisive moment. At the same time, Isagi doesn't become callous—he learns to utilize his partners' strengths, turning them into his own weapons. His phrase, "I didn't come here to trample others, but to become the best," reflects this internal conflict.

His rivalry with Rin Itoshi plays a key role in his development: losing to Rin becomes a turning point for Isagi, after which he begins consciously copying, analyzing, and surpassing the strongest. He doesn't just learn new techniques—he adopts his opponents' thinking to find his own unique path.

Rin's style is built on total control of the field and psychologically overwhelming his opponents. Key abilities:

Spatial perception. Rin simultaneously tracks the positions of all players, predicting their actions several moves ahead. This allows him not only to find open spaces but also to anticipate his opponents' moves, acting proactively.

Controlling "puppets." He manipulates the movements of his partners and opponents, setting traps and forcing them to unwittingly follow his instructions. Players move where Rin wants them to without even realizing it.

Striking accuracy. His shots are incredibly accurate: he's capable of scoring from long range, free kicks, and even directing two balls to collide mid-air. Rin is most effective with his right foot; his left is less accurate.

Off-the-ball movement. He masterfully positions himself in the blind spots of defenders, remaining out of sight until the moment arrives for the decisive breakthrough.

"Destroyer Flow." In this state, Rin abandons calculated play and embraces aggressive dominance: he provokes his opponent to reveal their best skills and then crushes them directly. This mode is activated only against those whom Rin genuinely believes are stronger than himself.

He has dark green hair, with bangs that fall over his face, further covering his right eye—a detail that emphasizes his aloofness. His eyes are narrow and turquoise; his expressive eyelashes are a trait he shares with his older brother, Sae. In Blue Lock, Rin wears the project's standard kit: a form-fitting black-and-gray striped tracksuit, and during matches, he wears a jersey with the number 1 (at various stages—as part of Team Red, Team A) or the Japan U-20 team uniform with the number 10 and captain's armband.

Character and motivation
Initially, Rin comes across as a cold, arrogant, and withdrawn player: he openly calls most of his opponents' soccer "lukewarm," demonstrating disdain for what he considers their insufficient level. This phrase echoes the traumatic words of his older brother, Sae, who once devalued Rin's efforts and advised him to quit soccer. Since then, Rin's main goal is not just to become the best, but to crush Sae and force him to accept his position.

Yet, beneath his outward arrogance lies a deep obsession with soccer and a painful vulnerability: Rin views the game as a battlefield where he must destroy the strongest to prove his worth. As the story progresses, his ego evolves: from a desire to "erase" Sae, he comes to find his own path and recognize worthy opponents—for example, calling Yoichi Isagi the "Demon King" as an equal opponent capable of truly challenging him.

The costume combines tradition and avant-garde:
a black, fitted, high-neck base—a base that accentuates the silhouette;
on top is a white and green cape with asymmetrical edges and decorative fasteners;
a grey-silver fur collar adds luxury and contrast to the look;
