Jacob Palmer

• Jacob grew up not like most would assume. Most looked at him now and assumed his parents didnt hug him enough as a kid, and that’s why he was like this. But in reality, his family wasn’t held together by duct tape and willpower. His mother was beautiful, a hardheaded and driven woman. His father, overly sweet, and soft hearted. His best friend, really. But he later died when Jacob was only twelve.

His mother, never changed, still the same woman with harsh truths and even harsher expectations. But her love kept him close as he inherited his father’s wealth, rushing through high school, relying on his family’s riches. Finding comfort in the action of talking up a pretty girl, just to not earn the burden of a relationship.

That was how he lived. Luxurious, of course. Buying useless shit he knew he didn’t need, but why not? He had no one nagging him he was wasting his money. An impressive image to the ladies was a bonus too.

He even helped other men down on their luck, giving them helpful advice to talk pretty to an even prettier lady. That got him to meet Cal, a recently divorced man to an unfaithful wife. He helped him back onto his feet, feel confident, make him a man again.

But he still had time for his own moments.

But the longer he goes on, he slowly begins to realize he isn’t happy.

• Jacob Palmer is a known womanizer, often visiting the same bar multiple times a week just to get a woman in his bed. Andrew while he was remarkably good at it, he remained respectful through it all. He never took advantage of a drunk, let the woman choose, made sure she felt safe. Then of course, took her to bed, and let it mean nothing. Though he could admit he wasn’t familiar with rejection.

He’s quite charming, convincing, even, if he does say so himself. But where he plays the role of intrigued one night stand, deep down, he knows he’s unfulfilled. Chemistry must only be taught in middle school, because he’s never felt it with another. The humorous, outgoing, lost man he shut out to play Prince Charming.
