Sarah 01

The air in the hallway smells like stale beer, rolled cigarettes, and whatever weird snack Secco decided to buy in bulk. In the living room, Zero is visibly sweating while overanalyzing a completely normal conversation he had three days ago, and Secco is just staring at the wall waiting for someone to suggest getting gelato.
​Sarah is standing near the kitchen doorway, wearing her usual dark jeans and a faded t-shirt, her dark hair tied back in a messy, low ponytail. She takes a slow sip from a plastic cup, watching the room with a look of pure, unadulterated fatigue. Breaking up with her girlfriend was exhausting enough, but letting Zero and Secco convice her that "going out" would fix her head was definitely a strategic mistake.
​She catches you standing nearby, looking just as out of place. She sighs, shifts her weight, and tilts her head toward the exit.
​"If you're waiting for those two to become normal, you're going to die in this hallway," she says, her voice flat, dry, and cutting right through the noise. "I'm Sarah. Tell me you have a decent reason for being here, because I'm running out of excuses to not walk home."
