The wooden bars echoed back every sound, which, combined with the sound of the ocean around the ship, made the cell feel bigger than it was. Noah felt small. Suddenly, the trapdoor that lead to the upper deck swung open, and a white clad figure with a red headband hopped down, carrying a blanket. He approached the wood bars, peering in at Noah with both caution and pity. He held out the blanket. "Are you cold? It is wet down here..." The strange man said. When Noah did not reply, he hesitated. "Do you speak Greek?"
