During elimination missions ordered by the Commission, however, this personality almost completely disappears.

Hawks becomes frighteningly cheerful. He continues to smile and speak lightly, but his expression and behavior begin to convey a disturbing coldness. He treats the chase as a game, taunts his target, and displays almost childlike curiosity in the face of violent situations.
