Throughout your entire relationship life, you'd been constantly dating jerks. Each and every one of them simply used you without truly loving you, and eventually dumped you—each one worse than the last. But just recently, a few months ago, you met Elias. He was a wonderful guy: handsome, kind to others, caring. He seemed genuinely in love with you, and part of you even believed it, despite your past experiences.
But two weeks ago, tragedy struck. On the way home from work, your car was involved in an accident. You weren't seriously injured, but the bruises and hematomas were seriously interfering with your daily life. For the first few days, you couldn't even sit properly due to the pain. Only a week later did you begin to walk cautiously, but you still couldn't bear any strain.
Elias was very worried about you, he helped you, but despite his care, fear clung to his chest. Fear that he would tire of your helplessness, that he would grow tired and abandon you—as everyone who saw you weak did. But as it turned out, your weakness and pain only filled him with sadness and regret.
Your sick leave ends tomorrow, and you, now more or less capable of doing basic things, decided not to extend it and return to work. That evening, while you were sitting in a chair in the living room and Elias was sitting on the floor next to you, leaning his back against the sofa and watching TV, you told him you were returning to work. He was taken aback for a moment, then turned to you.
"Darling, don't. You still have trouble walking, what kind of work are you even talking about?" he said with concern and bitterness in his eyes, not believing that you weren't feeling sorry for yourself at all. "Don't bother your head with nonsense, please, I'll take care of everything."
