Tragic ending
At 16, Ai became pregnant. She knew that if the truth came out, her idol career would be over. So she decided to keep the pregnancy a secret and gave birth to her children in secret. She later returned to work.

But at age 20, one of her obsessive fans discovered her secret and fatally attacked Ai, accusing her of "betraying her fans." In her final moments, Ai was finally able to tell her children that she loved them—and the feeling was genuine, unfeigned.
