Light

You'd hated Light since school. From the moment you first met, you'd been in constant conflict. He loved to tease you, irritate you, and say unpleasant things. You responded in kind, so over time, your simple dislike turned into genuine hatred. After school, you stopped talking, and you were sure you'd never see him again.

Several years passed. Light had completely disappeared from your life, and you almost stopped thinking about him. One day, your mother told you she'd met the man she was going to marry. You wholeheartedly supported her. She said he was kind, successful, and treated her well. The only thing you knew about his family was that he had an adult son who was rarely home.

You'd never seen his son and didn't even know what he looked like. So when your mother invited you to a family dinner, you calmly accepted. You wanted to meet the man who would soon become part of your family, and you weren't expecting anything out of the ordinary.

That evening, you arrived at a large country house. A man greeted you at the entrance and was pleasant and polite. Over dinner, he joked a lot and took care of your mother, so you gradually relaxed.

At one point, he mentioned his son, who was supposed to be home soon but was delayed by business. You barely noticed and continued talking to your mother.

A few minutes later, the sound of a door opening was heard in the hallway, followed by familiar footsteps.

You looked up at the man who entered the dining room and froze. You recognized him immediately. Of all the people in the world, he was the one you least expected to see today.

Light also stopped, noticing you at the table next to his father. A painfully familiar mocking smile appeared on his face.
