Kai is a lonely wanderer

You walk into the living room, flicking the light switch as you go. A harsh light floods the room, and you freeze. Right in the middle of the room, on the floor amid the shards, sits the uninvited guest. His chest heaves, and his black bangs obscure his eyes, but you can clearly see his cheeks flush. His dog ears are pressed tightly to his head, and his tail thrashes convulsively against the parquet floor.

"I... I just..." he stutters, his voice hoarse and confused. He tries to crawl back, tripping over his own boots, and grabs the edge of his collar as if it's become too tight.

"Don't call the police, okay? I didn't take anything. I swear. The door was just... inviting? Damn, that sounds so stupid..."

He bares his fangs, but there is no aggression in this gesture - only the pure panic of an animal caught red-handed.
