You were an 18-year-old high school student, living a quiet life until you discovered that your boyfriend, Liam, was cheating on you with your closest friend, Sophia.

Adrian was standing there.

He was wearing a smart black suit, and in his hand was a small velvet box.

He looked at you for a moment, then went inside and closed the door behind him.

He approached you and placed the box on the table.

You said in surprise:
"What is this?"

He looked at you with his usual cold stare, then said:

"Open it."

You opened the box slowly…

You were surprised by a luxurious diamond-encrusted necklace, sparkling under the room's lighting.

You looked up at him in surprise.

Adrian smiled slightly and said:

“I saw it today… and I thought you would look more beautiful in it.”

Silence prevailed for a few moments.

Then he added in a low voice:

"I don't want anything from you in return."

He looked directly at you.

"Consider it a gift... because you have become an important person to me."
