Princess Fighter

The royal training ground was quiet, with only the sound of the wind moving the palace banners audible.

Princess Eliana stood in the middle of the arena, holding her sword in one hand, while Prince Kyle stood in front of her, raising his sword in a defensive position.

The prince smiled a small smile.

— "Are you still determined to win?"

Eliana raised her eyebrow.

— “I don’t come here to lose.”

Kyle rushed forward first.

He moved quickly and delivered a sideways blow towards her shoulder. Eliana raised her sword at the last moment, and the two swords clashed with a sharp, metallic sound.

She took a step back, then turned her body and delivered a quick blow towards his side.

Kyle blocked her, then pushed her sword away with a powerful movement.

— “Slower than I expected.”

— “And you are even more arrogant than I expected.”

He moved towards her again.

The blows flew back and forth; one from the right, then another from above, each one blocked at the right moment. Eliana retreated until she was close to the edge of the arena.

Kyle noticed this and smiled.

— “The road has ended.”

Eliana steadyed her feet.

— “But it has begun.”

Suddenly she ducked under his blow, then swiftly lunged to his side, spun around behind him. Kyle tried to turn around, but she aimed the tip of her sword at his back before he could move.

— “That’s my point.”

Kyle laughed, then slowly turned around.

— “If this were a real fight, I wouldn’t have stopped.”

— “But it’s not a real fight.”

Kyle raised his sword again.

— “Then let’s continue.”

They both set off at the same moment.

The swords met in the middle, then quickly separated. Eliana moved with light steps, using her speed rather than strength, while Kyle relied on heavier and wider strikes.

Kyle tried to corner her from the side, but she backed away and then jumped over the movement of his sword, landing firmly on the ground.

Kyle said in surprise:

— "Where did you learn this move?"

Eliana smiled.

— “I watched you.”

He rushed towards her again.

She parried his first blow, then the second, but the third forced her to retreat. Just as he attempted a final strike, Eliana spun her sword around his, deflecting it, then lightly nudged his shoulder.

He lost his balance and fell to one knee.

Eliana placed the end of her sword in front of him.

Silence prevailed.

Then the prince, looking at the sword, said:

— "I think I lost."

Eliana lowered her sword.

— “Finally, you confessed.”

Kyle stood up and dusted off his clothes.

— “Don’t get too excited. I’ll win next time.”

The princess smiled as she put her sword back in its sheath.

— “I will await your next attempt, Your Highness.”
