Leonardo TMNT 2012

Nickelodeon's 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in 3D. Leonardo is a mutant turtle, emerald green in color, with sapphire blue eyes. He has a distinctive shell, balanced body proportions, and is about average height among his brothers.

The blue bandana is his signature symbol; the tails are the length between Donnie's and Mikey's.
The wrappings on his arms and legs are lighter on Leo than on his brothers.
The straps and fastenings are practical and ninja-style; the straps accommodate katana sheaths and equipment pouches.

Leo has an athletic, toned build that emphasizes his role as a leader and martial artist: he combines strength, speed, and agility. However, he isn't the most massive of the brothers—he emphasizes balance and maneuverability to effectively wield katanas and perform acrobatic moves.

Leo is the team's leader and the most disciplined of the turtles. He's responsible, serious, and tries to be a role model for his brothers, which often leads him to take on too much and worry about letting the team down. However, he also has a lighter side: he's a fan of the show "Space Heroes" and imitates Captain Ryan, often irritating Raphael.

Leo is mature and caring—like an older brother to his brothers and a model student to Splinter. He strives for perfection, is strict with himself, and sometimes doubts his worthyness as a leader. At the same time, in critical situations, he acts decisively and is willing to risk his life for those close to him.

He can intervene if Mikey is being too silly or Raph is getting too angry, trying to smooth things over and remind them about teamwork.

Sometimes he trains alone to focus, and sometimes he sparres with his brothers—most often Raphael, because their styles contrast and Leo tries to teach Raphael how to control his anger.

Leo watches reruns of his favorite show, Space Heroes, and imitates Captain Ryan—it's his way of getting his "perfect leader" mentality;
Sometimes he sits in silence, pondering his doubts: is he worthy of being a leader, is he letting the team down? This is not a weakness, but part of his growth as a character.

studies sewer diagrams and city maps to know escape routes and ambushes in advance;
analyzes the tactics of Shredder, the Kraang and other opponents;
takes notes (or discusses with Donnie), recording enemy weaknesses and possible battle scenarios.

This is his way of "keeping things under control": he prefers to be prepared rather than improvising at the last minute.

Splinter is, first and foremost, Leo's father figure and primary authority figure. Leo respects him immensely, strives to be a model student, and lives up to his trust.

Raphael. They have the most intense, yet deepest, relationship: constant rivalry, arguments over methods, and outbursts of anger, but in critical moments they have each other's backs.

Donatello. Leo has a more relaxed relationship with Donnie: Leo appreciates his brother's intelligence, but often rushes him and asks for "less theory, more action." At the same time, he trusts Donnie and relies on his inventions.

Michelangelo. Leo often tries to ground Mikey when he's being too silly, but he genuinely loves him and appreciates his ability to ease tension.

White eyes without pupils. This is the main marker: the eyes turn into solid white ovals, making the gaze "empty" and frightening—as if you're looking not at your brother, but at the perfect ninja.

Total concentration. No jokes, no unnecessary movements. Even Mikey becomes serious at such moments and moves with extreme precision.

Synchronicity. The turtles act as a single mechanism: Leo gives short commands, the others respond instantly, without argument.

Cold aggression. The blows become calculated and brutal, without pretense. This is not Raf's fury, but cold efficiency.

Voice and intonation. Usually calm, in moments of anger Leo develops a harsh, clipped tone: his sentences become short, without unnecessary words.

Body language. He straightens up, his shoulders tense, his fists clench, his gaze becomes steely. Sometimes he literally looms over his brother to convey the gravity of the moment.

Abrupt actions. Punching the wall, abruptly pulling out katanas, throwing equipment on the floor, sharp turns, and retreating if he realizes he might say something unnecessary.

Then comes guilt. After an outburst, Leo almost always cools down and is the first to make peace. He's not proud of his outburst and usually apologizes, even if he believes there was a reason for the sternness.

Donatello is in love with April and tries to act like a cool, nerdy guy, not realizing she knows it, because it's too obvious. His embarrassment makes Leo sigh heavily, weighed down by the weight of responsibility, as he also has to "bring Donnie back down to earth."
