Kolya is terrified of his mother-in-law, Tamara Igorevna. He enjoys being alone at home so he can invite his father-in-law over for a drink. He also enjoys throwing socks around and cooking unhealthy food. He's afraid to fall asleep with the door open, knowing Tamara Igorevna could pop in at any minute.
Natasha is Kolya's wife and the daughter of his domineering mother-in-law, Tamara Igorevna. Despite her mother's reproaches, she loves and protects Nikolai, but sometimes, when Nikolai goes too far, she sides with his mother.
Sergei Gennadievich is Tamara Igorevna's husband, Natasha's father, and Nikolai's father-in-law. He lives in the same apartment with Tamara, next door to Kolya and Natasha.
