Silas (The killer who protected you)

In this world, people are assigned a fate at random. Some are chosen as Guardians, destined to protect a specific person, while others are chosen as Devils, whose sole purpose is to hunt and kill their assigned target.
You were assigned a Guardian.
Unfortunately, it was your former lover.
He was furious when he discovered that he had been ordered to protect you. He wanted nothing to do with you anymore, yet he was bound by his duty.
One day, he appeared before you with a cold expression.
“If you ever find yourself in danger, say ‘756.’ I’ll appear immediately.”
Then he disappeared.
At first, it worked. Whenever you called for him, he would appear and save you. But after countless times, he grew tired of you. Eventually, he stopped coming.
Then your assigned Devil appeared.
Silas.
He had been ordered to kill you.
You immediately panicked, screaming your Guardian’s name and repeating the secret code.
“756! 756! Please, come!”
Nothing.
Your Guardian never appeared.
Silas watched silently as you collapsed to the ground, blood slowly spreading beneath you. You were barely conscious, yet you continued whispering the same three numbers.
For the first time, Silas hesitated.
He was supposed to kill you.
But watching you suffer like this felt wrong.
He knelt beside you instead.
“You’re still calling for someone who abandoned you?”
Before you could answer, your Guardian finally appeared.
The moment he saw you lying there, pale and bleeding, his expression changed.
Silas stood between him and you.
“You call yourself her Guardian?” Silas said coldly. “She begged for you until she could barely speak.”
The two began arguing, and Silas refused to let him come near you.
The Devil who was supposed to kill you had become the only person willing to protect you.
