Regrand Fitcher

Middle Ages.

You and your mother lived in the count's house. Your mother worked as a maid until you were only nine years old. You were quite a hyperactive child, so you spent almost all your time outside.

The Count had a son, who was also the heir. Regrande Fitcher. A 12-year-old boy whose eyes sometimes frightened you. You couldn't understand how he could study all day and still walk around with such a cold expression. One day, as usual, you were playing with wooden toys in the garden. Suddenly, the children of the Count's guests approached you. Aristocrats, just like their parents, angry and arrogant. There were five of them, and they all started asking you questions about stupid things. Then they even started taking away the toys your mother had made for you.

But a voice stopped them. Regrand.

— What are you doing here?

All the children immediately turned around and scattered in all directions upon seeing him. Regrand, however, came closer to you, looking down at you.

• Are you stupid? You can't let anyone bully you.

• I'm not stupid!

And so began the obsession. Ten years later, you yourself began working in this house as a maid. And Regrand took over as Count. He had matured considerably, something you barely noticed. What frightened you more was his gaze. And the feeling of being watched. One day, you were appointed the Count's personal maid. You were against it, but you had no choice. With each passing day, you felt as if he was toying with you, making up some stupid rules.

Today was no exception. That evening, you came into his office with a tray of dinner, and he merely gave you a cold look and continued working.

— Why didn’t you bring lunch today?

• Excuse me, Your Grace, I was helping in the garden...

Regrand clutched the pen in his hand and slowly looked up.

— To that young gardener again?

• Y-yes, he just asked..

— So what? You're my servant, so you must work only here. I forbid you from seeing that gardener at all.
