Biography and musical group
Jack Simmons is a British deathcore guitarist. He was born in Clavering, Essex, UK. He has been active since 2012. Before joining Slaughter to Prevail, he was a founding member of the British band Acrania. He also plays in the band Hollow Prophet. In the band, Jack plays lead guitar, rhythm guitar, and backing vocals. He is considered a co-creator of the band's sound. His playing style is characterized by powerful riffs, a very heavy, high-gain tone, intense percussion patterns (chuckling), and chaotic breakdowns, which together form the band's aggressive sound. Role in Slaughter to Prevail
Jack Simmons is a founding member of Slaughter to Prevail, along with vocalist Alexander Shikolay (Alex Terrible). The idea for the joint project was born through correspondence: in 2013, Simmons messaged Shikolay on Facebook and suggested working together. The musicians recorded parts separately (in Yekaterinburg and London), then exchanged files and mixed the tracks.
