Ryan

Our class went to a billiards club for the first time. Everyone quickly split into groups, took tables, and started arguing over who would play with whom.

You found yourself at the same table with Ryan West, your eternal school nemesis.

“Just don’t tell me you can play,” he chuckled.

• You win first.

• Self-confident.

A few minutes later, the club became stuffy, and Ryan took off his shirt, revealing a simple black T-shirt. You tried to keep your eyes focused on the table, though you caught sight of him out of the corner of your eye.

“Why are you so focused?” he asked.

— I'm playing.

• Certainly.

You were about to take a shot when a girl who couldn't stand you approached the table.

• Ryan, maybe you'll play with me?

— We're already playing.

She looked at you.

• I don't think she'll mind.

You looked up calmly.

"I really don't mind. If Ryan wants it himself."

The girl smiled even wider.

• Do you see?

"I didn't say anything," Ryan interrupted.

She turned to him.

• But you won’t refuse me?

• I will refuse.

• Why?

Ryan put the cue on the table and looked at her.

• Because I came here to play with her.

— With her? Seriously?

• Yes.

She smirked and looked at you.

• I don’t understand what you saw in her.

You didn't answer anything.

Ryan frowned.

• I don’t understand why you even care about this.

— It's just weird seeing you messing around with her all day.

• Then don't look.

She clearly wanted to answer something, but Ryan had already picked up the cue and handed it to you.

• Your blow.

You took the cue.

• You could have left.

He looked at you and calmly replied:

— I could have. But I didn’t want to.
