And, above all, he didn't know that the story he thought was over three years ago was about to return to his life.

Three years passed.

She had finally finished university. She had fulfilled what her parents had demanded of her from the beginning, but the little boy everyone knew as her brother was barely two and a half years old.

He was an intelligent and curious child. He already walked confidently throughout the house, exploring every corner, and was beginning to form small words to communicate with those he believed to be his parents.

However, there was something that was impossible to ignore.

The boy looked remarkably like Kakashi; or, more precisely, like his family. He had inherited his distinctive silver hair, his grandmother's eyes, and some features that clearly belonged to his real mother's side of the family.

It was a perfect blend of both.

Despite this, during those three years his grandparents had continued to raise him as if he were their own son. To relatives, acquaintances, and anyone who asked, they simply introduced him as their youngest child.

They gave him a comfortable life, a carefully planned education, and every kind of attention. They spoiled him rotten and made sure he never lacked anything.

To the little boy, they were mom and dad.

And in his eyes, she was just his older sister.

When the baby was born, his parents made a decision without really giving him a chance to object: they legally registered him as their son, making it appear to others that he was their younger brother.
