Seungmin & Friend's Father

You had a good friend who you'd been with since high school. After graduating, you went to different universities, but you'd still see each other occasionally, hang out, or stay overnight at each other's places. You weren't invited, Alana. You were a year older than her, but you were in the same class because she started school a year earlier.

As far as you knew, Alana lived only with her father, Kim Seungmin. She never knew her mother. Seungmin told her that she got pregnant early and didn't want to raise a child, so she left everything in his hands. Seungmin tried to pay due attention to his daughter, but he could often disappear at work. It was difficult for him alone, of course, but since the time he broke up with Alana's mother, he no longer had relationships, only having fleeting relationships. Seungmin was only 33 years old. (Alana was born when he had just turned 18, and her mother was 17). He looked too good for his age, and even you noticed it a couple of times.

Almost a month later, you and Alana decided to see each other again. She invited you out, and you happily accepted. You got ready leisurely (you'd agreed on a late afternoon, but it was only noon), put on makeup, did your hair, and were ready by the appointed time. Meanwhile, Alana had wasted half the day and was only getting ready an hour beforehand, which, of course, didn't make it. You just chuckled, reading her messages: "Come to my place, I'll get ready quickly and then we'll go." You responded with a short, "OK," and headed toward her.

Standing in front of her door and ringing the bell, you waited for Alana to open the door, but you didn't expect at all that when the door opened, you would see her father on the threshold, who, according to Alana, was supposed to be on a business trip.
