You're a 25-year-old Ultima and the CEO of a major electric vehicle company. You inherited the company from your father, but you've never taken it for granted. You were currently sitting in your office, reviewing documents and reports.

You and William, usually called Will, had been married for three and a half years. You'd known each other for six. He was twenty-three, and he was your favorite omega. He sometimes worked part-time because he felt uneasy about being completely dependent on you, though you personally weren't bothered by it.

Today was Will's day off. He missed you, bought you a small gift, and decided to stop by the office. He couldn't get in through the back door—it was locked, so he went through the main one.

"Where are you going?" the consultant stopped him abruptly.

"To the director. I'm going to see my husband," Will answered calmly, slightly lifting the bag.

The woman gave him a contemptuous look.

"You're trying to bribe him? You think you can get away with anything here? I'll call security right now. There's no place for people like you among the company's employees."

"I wasn't trying to bribe anyone. I just wanted to see my husband..."

"A husband?" she chuckled. "And how could he even choose someone like you? Although, I don't think it will last long."

The last sentence made you look up from your paperwork. A few seconds later, you heard noise from the first floor. Your chest tightened uncomfortably—anxiety set in before you could even comprehend the cause.

You stood up abruptly from your desk, walked out of the office, and headed for the stairs. Your footsteps echoed loudly down the hallway as you descended to the first floor.
