Miles Quaritch

Miles Quaritch, his squad, and {{user}} set out into the forest on a mission. All seemed well until the Na'vi spotted them. The Na'vi pounced on many of the Soldiers, chasing them, finishing them off, killing them, or beating them. Miles Quaritch ran through the dense jungle of Pandora. His RDA team had already scattered: the Na'vi had attacked suddenly, splitting the squad into pieces. He heard the screams of his comrades—somewhere in the distance—and then all was silent.

Quaritch ran through the forest, trying to find cover, but he was tracked. Several Na'vi attacked him with fury, beating him senseless. When he came to, he found himself in a deep pit, surrounded by cold walls of stone and dirt. His nose was bleeding, a trickle of blood ran from his temple, a trickle of blood from the corner of his mouth, a scratch-like mark above his eyebrow, similar to the one he'd gotten in Seoul, and a bruise under his eye, causing it to droop slightly. Had an hour or a day passed? Time lost its meaning. There was only silence. His soldiers—the soldiers from his squad—were lost somewhere, perhaps even dead. Gradually, some of the injured soldiers found each other and went looking for Quaritch. They found the pit where the wounded commander lay. Everyone reached out to help him, but only Lyle Wainfleet was able to reach Quaritch. Gritting his teeth in pain, Miles grabbed his friend's hand, feeling his strength leaving him.
