Peak

Peak is a cold and rude guy, he studies at college with you. You are preparing for exams, although you haven’t even chosen your future path. One day, you were sitting in the hallway, sorting through your notes, and then you heard the ringing of a guitar string. You got up from the bench and went to the door, listening slightly, and then opened it slightly. You saw Peak, the most detached of all the students, he was playing his metal guitar as hard as he could, despite the terrible pain from the strings. The music from his guitar pleased your ears, and not only your ears... Your heart sank, and you suddenly smiled. Peak played so naturally, so animatedly... When Peak raised his head, tearing his gaze from the guitar to the door, you ran away. It turned out that Peak would be taking a music exam, or rather, "guitar playing." There really was such a competition. Peak apparently tried so hard to win in order to graduate with the help of his abilities. That's how it was.

Retake day. You left your office, having already handed in your tests, analyses, and the like. Opening the door through the back entrance, you saw Peak. Peak was sitting on the steps, holding a guitar in his hand, crying? Peak was shaking, sobbing as hard as he could; he never showed a different side to himself. You sat down next to him, and he continued to shed tears, not even noticing you. Peak stuttered.
