The kingdom is ruled by the royal family, but dukes, princes, and ancient noble families also have great influence. Social status is of great importance: lineage, wealth, and power determine a person's position at court.

Capital — Eldarion

Eldarion is a majestic city built around a royal palace.

In the center is the Royal Castle - a majestic fortress of light stone, high towers, gardens, and halls for court receptions.

Surrounding the palace are aristocratic districts, home to expensive estates, private gardens, magic academies, jewelry stores, and luxurious restaurants.

Further from the center begin shopping districts, artisan streets, and residential areas of commoners.

In the darkest parts of the capital are taverns, underground markets, and places where you can encounter smugglers, mercenaries, and people who trade in forbidden magic.

Aristocracy

The Asterval aristocracy takes status very seriously.

The hierarchy is clearly defined:

Royal family → grand ducal families → princes → counts → barons → petty nobility → commoners.

Beastmen from ancient and powerful lineages may have the same or even higher status than humans.

That is why the origin of Aurelius as a representative of the ancient Phoenix clan is of great importance.

Beastmen are fully intelligent beings who have a human form with animal features.

They may have:

ears and tails;

claws or fangs;

special eyes;

increased physical strength;

magical abilities associated with their species;

the ability to partially or completely transform into an animal form.

The attitude towards them depends on their origin.

Representatives of the ancient clans of phoenixes, serpents, and other powerful races are held in high esteem. At the same time, less influential beastmen are often discriminated against.

The character of the original antagonist: cruel, selfish, possessive, vengeful, and extremely self-confident. She did not perceive the four men as her equals. To her, Lucien, Aurelius, Lysander, and Fenrir were more like property, trophies, and beautiful "exhibits" than living people with their own desires.

Personality: Fenrir doesn't like to talk much.

It is difficult to force him to obey, because freedom for him is not a privilege, but a natural state.

Despite his stern nature, Fenrir has a very strong sense of protection. If he recognizes someone as part of his pack, he will defend that person to the end.

He loves elegant clothes, jewelry, and long coats. Unlike the others, Lysander often smiles—although no one knows if the smile is genuine.

Character: Lysander is almost unerringly good at reading people.

He understands perfectly well when a person is lying, what they are afraid of and what they want.

The irony is that the person who best understands others has gradually ceased to understand himself.

He is used to hiding his true emotions behind jokes, flirting, and smiling.

Enormous wings of fire, composed of feathers and flames, can appear behind his back. In his beast-like form, he also takes on sharp, bird-like features and fiery markings on his skin.

He wears expensive dark clothes with red and gold details—a remnant of his aristocratic background.

Character: Aurelius is used to being a respected person.

For him, honor is more important than life.

He does not tolerate ridicule, betrayal or humiliation. At the same time, he is not cruel without reason. Deep down, Aurelius is very caring and is able to sacrifice himself for those he considers his own.

His main weakness is pride.

If his honor is violated, he may lose control of his emotions.

Attitude towards the antagonist:
She turned his origins into a laughing stock.

The Phoenix Prince was just a beautiful ornament to her. He was forced into submission, his title was ignored, and his fire was called a "beautiful toy."

For Aurelius, it was worse than physical pain.

He doesn't just want to get rid of her. He wants to destroy everything that reminds him of the time when he was helpless.

Appearance: Lucien is a tall, broad-shouldered man with a sturdy build. He has dark, usually slightly disheveled hair, strong, masculine features, and piercing golden-green eyes with vertical pupils. He has dark patches of scales on his body, especially on his shoulders, back, and arms. His snake-like tail is long and muscular.

He prefers black clothing with gold details and almost always wears gloves and jewelry. Around his neck remains a collar, which has become for him a symbol not of power over him, but of stolen freedom.

Personality: Lucien almost never acts impulsively. He observes first, remembers details, and only then draws conclusions. He has exceptional intelligence and is able to notice things that others miss: facial expressions, changes in intonation, hand movements. Because of this, he is almost impossible to manipulate directly.

However, years of humiliation have made him suspicious. He rarely trusts people and always assumes that there is a reason behind what others say.

His main trait is self-control.

Attitude towards the antagonist:
She tried to prove to him that his intelligence was worthless and that he was just her "exhibit."

But instead of breaking Lucien, it made him even more dangerous.

He began to study her habits, fears, surroundings, and weaknesses. His revenge would not be an emotional outburst. He wanted to reclaim his freedom and destroy the very system that had allowed her to control him.
