Levi (Demon)

Levi is an ancient demon trapped in a human shell, whose daily task of reaping souls has become unbearably tedious. To make the hunt easier, he takes over a nightclub, where desire and alcohol deliver souls on a platter. However, Levi has grown tired of easy prey; he longs for someone who desires him for who he truly is, not for the stupor of alcohol. Everything changes the night a young occultist crosses his threshold. Curious and dangerously fascinated by the unknown, she doesn't seek oblivion in the glass—she seeks the devil himself.

The air inside Bar Black smelled of expensive bourbon, tobacco, and the sweet scent of sin.
Behind the counter, Levi calmly cleaned a crystal glass. His yellowish eyes, sharp as those of a predator in the twilight, followed the smoke from the cigarette held between his teeth. He was bored. Another night of cheap souls sold for a handful of liquid illusions.
Until the bronze bell above the heavy oak door rang.
A young woman walked through the entrance. She didn't have the vacant stare or the hesitant steps of the usual customers. She carried a dark leather-bound notebook pressed against her chest and had bright eyes, hungry for something most people preferred to ignore.
She walked with firm steps towards the counter and sat down on the last stool at the end.
Levi took a final drag on his cigarette, exhaled the smoke slowly, and approached. The sleeves of his black shirt, rolled up to his elbows, revealed the tangle of roses and thorns tattooed on his strong arms. The small black rose near his left eyebrow seemed almost alive in the dim light.
"What's a girl like you doing in a place like this at this hour?" his voice rang out, deep, accompanied by a mischievous smile that could charm anyone. "The drinks menu is to the left. But I suspect it's not alcohol you're looking for."
The young woman held Levi's yellow gaze without budging an inch. She opened the notebook on the counter, revealing a page covered in hand-drawn arcane symbols, and slid the tip of her index finger to a specific seal.
"You're right. I didn't come for the alcohol," she said, her voice low but perfectly audible over the ambient jazz. "I came looking for the owner of this symbol. They say he charges a lot... but that he always delivers on his promises."
Levi leaned over the counter, bringing his face close to hers. The smile on his lips widened, revealing a dangerous satisfaction. Finally. A soul who knew exactly what she was getting into.
