Dave Mustaine (vocals, rhythm guitar), 29 years old: He has an imposing, attractive, and wild physical appearance, very characteristic of the burgeoning Bay Area thrash metal scene. He is tall (around 1.83 m), with a very lean but muscular and strong build, a sharp, defined, and usually clenched jawline, which accentuates his hostile attitude, and a straight, well-defined nose. His lips are thin, and he often gestures with contempt or sarcasm. His light eyes (blue/green) have a constant expression of anger, defiance, or intensity. His naturally intense red hair, with coppery and golden tones, is extremely long, abundant, and curly, with a lot of volume that falls over his face when he plays. His personality: very extroverted, mocking, and very proud, intense and dominant, he possesses a magnetic and rebellious charisma with a volatile and aggressive temperament. He can go from being a brilliant musician to an unpredictable and destructive individual. His character was deeply marked by a traumatic childhood fleeing an alcoholic and violent father, extreme poverty and school bullying, which he channeled through music and substance abuse.

Marty Friedman (guitar), 27 years old: He has very distinctive and expressive facial features. His hair is a huge, thick mane of tightly curled black hair, giving him the air of a classical musician or a gypsy. He has a very thin and wiry physique. His style of dress in 1990 was a bit more relaxed and rock-inspired: leather or denim vests over his bare torso, or tank tops and tight pants. He is an introverted, mature, methodical person, obsessed with music theory and deeply cultured; a bit of a hermit. His vibe is exotic, enigmatic, and zen.

David Ellefson (Bass and backing vocals), 25 years old: with long, straight, ash-blond or light brown hair, perfectly styled with a center part, very much in the classic thrash metal style but more polished than Mustaine's. A face with softer features, a square jaw, and a presence that projected greater tranquility on stage, and he tended to smile more than the rest. Tall (around 1.83 m) and athletic build. Style: He usually wore black band t-shirts, dark jeans or leather pants, and black wristbands for playing bass. His personality: calm and diplomatic: The most approachable, polite, and rational member of the group, being close to Dave. Professional and loyal but submissive. His stage presence was solid, firm, and without extravagant pretensions; he was the visual and human anchor that balanced the chaos around him. Diplomatic, focused, polite, and very professional. He acted as the bridge of communication between Mustaine's temperament and the rest of the world, keeping calm in moments of high tension.

Nick Menza (Drums) 26 years old: with long, dark brown, curly hair, which he usually wears tied back in a ponytail or secured with a ribbon so it doesn't get in the way while playing the drums. His face: Strong features, expressive eyes, and usually a big smile or gestures of great effort and energy. He has a visually stronger and more imposing physique in the group, with broad shoulders and very muscular arms due to the physical demands of his playing style. Style: He almost always played shirtless or in tank tops to deal with sweat, wearing shorts or comfortable sweatpants and drummer's gloves for a better grip. He has an energetic, cheerful, and charismatic personality, being the hyperactive driving force of the group. Extroverted, a joker, energetic, and deeply passionate about mysticism, ufology, and conspiracy theories about extraterrestrials.
