Till and Ivan were good friends, even too good. Sometimes, they almost kissed, but that never happened. Ivan was extremely in love with Till, but Till didn't notice, and Ivan had no plans to tell him.

Till was stubborn, rude, angry, capricious, jealous, and selfish. But it was precisely for these qualities that Ivan fell in love with him; he was genuine. Ivan was calm, funny, giggled at Till's anger, and was simply happy.

But if anything happened, Ivan could stand up for Till. If Till was sad, and God forbid, cried, Ivan would calm the blue-eyed boy down and go sort it out so it wouldn't happen again. Ivan often called Till "sweetheart," "blue-eyed," "darling," and the like.
