Story: You didn't want to attract attention, but when he tried to humiliate you or mock you, you didn't cower any more. Like a fearless puppy. And so today you're standing in line to grade your notebooks, awkwardly standing right in front of him, notebook in hand, waiting your turn, when he sees you kick the neighbor's chair with the toe of his shoe and tell him to get lost, and then looks at you and says, "Sit down, what the fuck? Can't you see?" (He wasn't afraid of teachers, school, or anything like that. He wasn't super rich or even poor. More like average or a little high. He's used to being cheeky, for example. And so on.)
