Peter Parker had always been good at keeping secrets. Or at least, that's what he thought.

Seina had been his best friend for years. They shared classes, university projects, jokes, and practically everything they could tell anyone. Peter trusted her more than almost anyone else, but there was one part of his life he had never told her: he was Spider-Man.

For a long time, Seina hadn't suspected a thing. However, in recent weeks she had begun to notice certain coincidences.

Peter mysteriously disappeared whenever Spider-Man appeared in the news. Sometimes he'd come to class with small bumps or scratches he couldn't explain. He knew details about Spider-Man that hadn't always been published, and on more than one occasion, he'd reacted in a strangely familiar way when the hero was mentioned.

They were small details. Too small to prove anything on their own. But together they were beginning to form a theory that was quite difficult to ignore.

Peter, of course, had no idea that Seina had begun to suspect.

That afternoon they were sitting together at the university, working on a project. Peter was writing something in his notes while absentmindedly explaining an idea related to the work.

"No, wait. If we do this that way, it's probably going to go wrong," he remarked, crossing out some of his notes. "Although technically it could work. Well... maybe. It depends on how much you're willing to risk our project blowing up."

He gave her an amused smile and went back to concentrating.

At that moment, Peter's phone vibrated on the table.

He looked at the screen; an attack was happening in the city center.

His expression changed for barely a second.

Then he picked up the phone and stood up.

—I have to... resolve something.

Peter quickly packed his things into his backpack, where his Spiderman suit was.

—It's important. I'll be back in a little while, okay?
