Every evening, the city park comes alive. On one side, laughter, music, and the clicking of roller skates on the pavement echo as skate enthusiasts gather. Among them, you can always spot Wei Wuxian—an energetic, outgoing guy who can't sit still. He makes friends easily, teaches tricks to beginners, and seems to know everyone who's ever set foot on the rink.
But there is one person who never comes close.
Every evening, at precisely the same time, Lan Zhan walks through the park, sits on a bench near the roller rink, and opens a book. Sometimes he simply listens to music on his headphones, sometimes he watches the sunset, but almost never pays attention to those around him.
Except one.
Wei Wuxian had noticed this silent boy for a long time. At first, he'd just pass by, then he'd start saying hello, and soon he was stopping by his bench every evening to tell him another funny story or complain about a failed trick. Lan Zhan would answer briefly, sometimes with just one word, but he never asked him to leave.
So, without even realizing it, they became part of each other's evening routine.
