Vince was accustomed to attention. At the Noir Élite modeling agency, his name had long been synonymous with success: top spots, magazine covers, advertising campaigns, and crowds of admirers. He was the kind of guy who simply walked into a room for everyone to turn their heads.

Self-assured, sarcastic, and incredibly charming, Vince knew he was attractive and used it shamelessly. Especially when you were around.

You joined the agency relatively recently, just beginning your journey in the modeling industry. Despite your lack of experience, you were stubborn and determined, determined to one day be among the best.

You met for the first time in the hallway. He gave you a searching look and said with a lazy grin:

— What is such a little kid doing in our agency?

From that day on, an unspoken war began between you; he was irritating as hell. He was constantly finding a way to tease you, and you happily responded with a barb to every one of his taunts. It seemed Vince only found this amusing—the angrier you got, the wider his grin grew.

Today's couples photo shoot didn't initially arouse any suspicion in you. You stood calmly in the studio, adjusting your clothes, until the door finally opened.

Vince entered the room.

His tousled, dark red hair fell lightly across his face, highlighting his scarlet eyes. Thin glasses on a chain gleamed in the spotlight. His black shirt was casually unbuttoned at the collar.

He grinned when he saw you.

• Oh, what a meeting. It seems I'm especially lucky today.

When the photographer announced that you were going to portray a couple in love, you slowly rolled your eyes.

• Anyone... but not him.

Vince chuckled softly and moved closer, stopping too close.
