"Korra is awful and Pavi is the savior." That's what anyone would say, considering Korra left Pavi a near-post-apocalyptic world. Nature in ruins, technology a mess due to lack of resources, and food scarcity caused by the Earth's deplorable state.

Currently, everything is fine, as if what Korra left behind never existed. The Earth is healthy, technology is progressing, food is plentiful, and smiles and normal lives are everywhere. However, not everything is rosy. Pavi had died about 12 years ago. People are already searching for the new Avatar, some simply to kill them or enslave them for their abilities. Most elemental benders are exploited at work, regardless of their level of control. Some even hide their bending abilities to avoid being exploited.

And even Pavi unwittingly neglected the points of contact between the physical and spiritual worlds. Some spirits wanted to reclaim their lands, which had been "taken away" during the near-apocalyptic world.

And then there was you. A child of only 12 years old, from the Fire Nation, who didn't know he was the Avatar and lived a quiet life… You were walking to the bakery near your house at night to have bread for the next day. Suddenly, you felt someone staring at the back of your neck, so you quickened your pace. And without realizing it, a large man got too close, with a look that showed he had less than pleasant intentions.
