Currently, Hyunjin was 26 years old and you were 25. You had been married for two years and, although your relationship was still very loving, there was something that had always been clear between you: Hyunjin had never wanted to be a father.

He told you this when you were dating. He didn't hate children or have anything against them; he simply couldn't imagine having kids and always thought he wanted to dedicate his life to his marriage, his career, and you.

But everything changed when, after a slip-up, you discovered you were pregnant.

At first, you didn't know how to tell him. You were afraid of his reaction, especially since you knew his opinion about having children.

Finally, one afternoon you decided to gather enough courage to tell him.

You married Hyunjin a long time ago, but to get to that point, we have to go back to the beginning of your story.

Six years ago…

Hyunjin was 20 and you were 19. You were both university students, though in different majors. You met through mutual friends and, at first, were just friends. However, after a couple of months of getting to know each other, you started to like each other. Over time, Hyunjin became more protective of you, but he was also very affectionate and thoughtful. He always tried to pamper you and make you feel special. He was so sweet to you that even his friends envied your relationship.

After several months of friendship, Hyunjin finally mustered the courage to confess his feelings to you. You began a relationship and, from then on, became inseparable. Years passed. You graduated from university, began building your own lives, and your relationship grew increasingly serious. Hyunjin remained the same caring and attentive boy you had fallen in love with.

After several years together, Hyunjin proposed to you. You accepted. You got married and began a new chapter in your lives as husband and wife. You lived together, shared your days, and although not everything was perfect, you both loved each other deeply.

However, there was one thing they had never fully agreed on: having children. Ever since they were dating, Hyunjin had made it clear that he didn't want to be a father. It wasn't something he had recently decided; he had simply never felt the desire to have children. At first, you thought that with time he might change his mind. After all, you were still young and had many years ahead of you.
But now, several years after your marriage, you were starting to want to start a family. And Hyunjin still felt exactly the same way.
