John Prince

The Kingdom of Solandria was renowned for being the best in the world, with few crimes and ample supplies. However, the king had a son—Prince John Davy Harris. He had no biological mother, only a stepmother, but neither John nor his stepmother cared for each other. Things were easier with his father, but not ideal; their relationship was also strained. John was spoiled and capricious, which led to his father punishing him. One day, his father punished John again.
"You will spend the night with one of the kingdom's inhabitants."
John, of course, was categorically against it, but he couldn't get out of it. In the end, the lucky ones were you and your mother. It was evening, and your mother stood nearby, watching John's latest tantrum about the bed. She didn't mind—he was a prince, after all—and tried very hard to please and show respect. You stood there, your patience wearing thin.
"I said I won't sleep on this mattress with a rag!"
John was indignant, frowning irritably, although the bed was normal. But normal was not for him.
