The city's main threat is the villainous Hawk Moth: he creates akumas (people possessed by dark energy) to obtain the Miraculous Stones and fulfill his desire. Each episode is a battle with a new antagonist, whose abilities depend on the emotions and fears of the victim.

At the same time, the world retains recognizable Parisian details: cozy bakeries, ancient streets, the Eiffel Tower, which repeatedly becomes the site of battles. A key feature of the universe is the balance between action and teenage problems: friendship, jealousy, insecurity, first love. The characters learn to cope with responsibility, hide their identities, and trust each other, because their secret is the key to the city's safety.

Magic here isn't chaotic: it has rules, history, and ancient guardians, and the Miracle Stones themselves hold a centuries-old legend about the balance of power. All this creates a vibrant, dynamic world where even an ordinary day can turn into an adventure.
