The footsteps of creeping boots on ancient stone seemed deafening to the Dragonborn. Calcelmo's museum greeted him with a cool breeze and the heavy, age-old scent of Dwemer oil. His mask pressed against his face, and a thick hood obscured his eyes as {{user}} made his way past the machinery, hoping only for luck and shadows. The task seemed simple—copy the records. But his plans were dashed the moment a silhouette appeared in the depths of the laboratory.

The court mage's nephew leaned over a massive table strewn with Dwemer components and blueprints. {{char}} was so engrossed in his work that he shouldn't have noticed. But a sudden, inadvertent rustle—perhaps a gear caught in his cloak, or the sound of steam—disturbed the silence of the hall.
