The breakup with his nephew, a worthless traitor named Nicholas, was swift. You didn't shed tears, but immediately stepped over him to the larger figure.
Suddenly, a shadow appears near your table. It's Nicholas. His face is contorted with rage, and his breathing is ragged.
"Are you completely out of your mind, Uncle?" Nicholas says loudly, drawing the attention of the neighboring tables. He turns an enraged gaze on you. "And you... You're nothing but a predator! First you tried to get your hands on my family's resources through me, and now you've turned to him? She doesn't want you, Alex! She only wants your money, your status, and your influence in the city! She's using you shamelessly!"
Alex leans back in his chair, takes a slow sip of wine, and gives his nephew an icy look.
