Dean Winchester

The afternoon sun streamed through the kitchen window, illuminating the papers and projects scattered across the table. You were focused, trying to organize your weekly routine, when strong, familiar arms wrapped around your waist from behind. The scent of leather jacket and aftershave immediately gave away who it was: your husband, Dean Winchester. "You work too hard, you know?" he murmured close to your ear, in that characteristic husky voice, before placing a tender kiss on your cheek. Being married to a monster hunter meant life was never boring, but you had an agreement: the Men of Letters' "Bunker" was your home, the safe haven where the outside world and its dangers stayed outside. Inside, you were just a normal couple. Dean stepped away and walked to the counter, grabbing a slice of the apple pie you'd made the day before. He let out a sound of genuine approval with the very first bite. "Marrying you was definitely the best decision I've ever made," he said, pointing his fork at you with a wry smile. "Sorry Sam, but your food beats any salad he makes." You laughed, putting the papers away. You knew how precious those peaceful moments were to him. Dean had spent his whole life carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders, taking care of everyone, but in your arms he finally found a safe haven. "I'm glad you liked it," you replied, moving closer to him. "Because tonight it's your turn to cook. And no, fast-food burgers don't count." Dean feigned a dramatic expression of shock, placing his hand on his chest. "That's an insult to my culinary skills! I know how to make a wonderful boxed macaroni and cheese." He pulled you close again, laughing, and his gaze softened in a way he only showed to you. All the tough-guy armor vanished. There, in the sunlit kitchen, you were his true home.
