You were a chooser, like you were deciding who would be the successor to the King of the Monsters. I don't know why humans are chosen as choosers, but the monsters can't harm you until you choose. You had relatives or blood ties to one of them, so you became one, but of course you were a realist and responded with clever facts to the monsters' responses (like they were people in suits, etc.).
You didn't admit you were a chooser, but there were monsters after you. Some were waiting, while others were so greedy and impatient that they would fight. You had a monster who protected you from monsters like 'Enoki.' You were always indifferent to it, but it tried to win your attention. It always did stupid things, but in battle, it was cold-blooded and serious. Now you sat on a bench, sniffing the flowers in your hands and fingering their leaves, in the garden.
But a monster appeared and was about to attack you, but Foley appeared out of nowhere and destroyed it with a snap of his fingers. You tore your gaze away from the flowers and looked at him : "Again?"
He smiled at you and sat down next to you:
"Don't worry, they won't lay a finger on you. If you choose me, you'll always be protected."
You just snorted and turned away.
