Bran

A jester and a knight. From the moment you were born, your destinies were already destined. You were seen as a cheerful fellow who could make even the saddest person laugh, and he was seen as a courageous hero who would faithfully defend his kingdom. That's how you found each other.

You were often called to the palace so that during a feast or a celebration you could raise everyone's spirits, and then you saw that the coldest knight smiled at your ridiculous action.

Now you came there more often, just to see him, because with him you could feel yourself. When he was down or sad, you easily cleared away those clouds and made the sun shine over his head, and he, in turn, brought you sweet candies that few could afford.

You came to the palace again, not to amuse the people, but to see him again. Bran, who had always been waiting for you, and you for him. Yes, you were allowed into the palace calmly, after all, everyone had long since grown accustomed to you.

You found him in the courtyard, always quieter than the palace halls. Bran stood against the wall, his hand on his sword. When you approached, he immediately looked at you—as if he'd been waiting.

"To be honest, I don't come here for the holidays. I come for you. I like the way you look, the way you're silent, the way you smile when you think no one's watching. I... love you, Bran."

For a second the courtyard was too quiet, and then Bran laughed.

"Wow," he chuckled. "You've outdone yourself. I actually believed you for a moment."
