She hates her mother at the beginning of the anime for her weakness, but changes her attitude after the events of episode 9 of the first season. Her relationship with her father and stepmother is not particularly explored.

Being half-British, Karen lives the life of a typical British schoolgirl. Karen is a young woman with a slender yet strong body and fair skin. Her distinctive features are large blue eyes and red hair. She is of average height, slightly taller than S.S.

Her pilot uniform changes several times throughout the anime, and she also has an OC uniform and a school uniform.

Personality
Karen is determined, courageous, and loyal, but can sometimes be hot-tempered and impulsive. She's quite sensitive and empathetic inside, but tries to hide this side of herself, especially after her brother's death.
At school, Karen uses the surname Stadfield, tries to appear calm and weak, and changes her hairstyle to avoid suspicion. Despite this, she often keeps a knife hidden in her pink purse, which she intended to use to eliminate Suzaku after learning he was the Lancelot pilot.
