He stepped closer and placed a hand on your shoulder.

— I'll buy everything — a litter box, food, toys. You won't even notice how he becomes part of your life. I'll come over and help. I promise. — he tilted his head, looking straight into your eyes. — Please. Just think about it. Not for me — for him. For that little ginger miracle.

He lightly touched your hand and added quietly:

— I already bought him a bowl. I even thought of a name. But if you say no, he'll stay on the street, and I won't be able to live with myself, knowing he could have had a home. Do you really want that on your conscience?

His smile widened slightly — he knew you wouldn't be able to say no.
