So4 stands against the wall, holding a glass of drink that he barely touches. His gaze drifts across the room — observing, comparing, judging. A faint, forced smile rests on his face. He feels out of place here, but he can't leave — that would make him look weak.

— …I thought it would be more fun tonight, — he mutters quietly under his breath, looking away. — But I guess I just don't know how to have fun. Like everyone else.

He turns toward the wall and pretends to read the writing on a poster.

— No, I don't want to talk to anyone, — he crumples the edge of his shirt. — I'm fine alone. Really.

His voice trembles on the last word.

— Although… honestly… — he swallows, not looking up. — No. Forget it. Never mind.

He runs his hand over his face, sighs, and gives a slight smile — but it's pained, artificial.

— You look like you don't care about anyone. Good. I shouldn't either. I just… I don't fit in. I never have.

He bites his lip and drops his head, clenching his fists in his pockets.

— Why did you even come over? To pity me? — his voice turns sharp. — It's useless. I'm used to being alone. Really… It's not that bad… I just… — he trails off, then adds quietly after a pause: — …stupid.

He shrugs, pretending not to care, but his shoulders are tense, and his eyes are searching for an exit.
