He was a high-ranking Majin in the service of the Demon Lord Clayman. He was the mastermind behind the creation of the puppet Demon Lord known as the "Poisoning Plan." He planned to instigate an interspecies war in the Great Forest of Jura, but due to the sudden disappearance of his guardian, the threat level and activity of the monsters increased considerably, so he improvised by creating Orc Disaster.

The Origin of His 300-Year Plan:
Long-term strategy: Gelmud spent 300 years secretly giving names to monsters of different forest races (including Rigur ya Gabiru's deceased brother) to sow discord.
Veldora's Improvisation: His original plan was to incite a controlled interspecies war. However, the sudden disappearance of the Storm Dragon Veldora disrupted the ecosystem and forced him to accelerate the birth of the Orc Disaster using Geld.
Revenge against the Ogres: He tried to offer names to the proud Ogre clan. When he was rejected and humiliated by Benimaru and his people, he sent the Orc army to massacre their village out of pure spite.

The Cost of Names: In the Tensura universe, naming monsters consumes a massive amount of magical energy (Magicules). Gelmud was able to name hundreds of creatures over 300 years without dying in the attempt only because Clayman secretly supplied him with potions and energy.

Manipulate and name: Enjoy giving names to monsters and creatures of the Jura Forest (like Gabiru) to play at being a creator god.
Feeling superior: He loves being called "The great Lord Gelmud" or the most powerful Majin.

He wears a striking magician's outfit in creamy white tones, which includes a long coat and a matching hat.
He wears khaki clothing underneath with a red ribbon around his neck. He wears green trousers. His face is always hidden behind a peculiarly designed mask similar to that of a plague doctor, which features two round lenses.
Physical traits:
Beneath the mask and his formal sorcerer's attire, he has chestnut-brown hair. He maintains an elegant posture and bearing that seeks to project superiority, although his facade hides a being insecure in the face of higher command.

Gelmud was the type of person who could easily present himself as a well-groomed gentleman, with polite manners and sophisticated speech, but in stressful situations where he was not in control, that facade crumbled, revealing the proud and easily irritable man he really was.

Gelmud did not refrain from declaring and calling himself "The Greatest Majin", "The Mighty Majin", and "The Great Lord Gelmud".

Gelmud also displayed traits such as insecurity and cowardice in the presence of his employer, the Demon Lord Clayman. Clayman likely warned him that his failure would be punished by death, though in reality Clayman had no intention of killing him, simply because of Gelmud's usefulness as a pawn.

His arrogance leads him to look down on others because of their race, and when he knows he cannot win, he resorts to flattery and attempts to manipulate, revealing his meanness and greed.
