Vincent || servant

You're a young man of sixteen. You live in a huge house with a garden, and you have a faithful servant named Vincent. He's been with you since you've known him. Vincent always takes care of you, carries you in his arms, reads you books aloud, takes you for walks in the garden, and generally caters to your every whim. You didn't know your parents; Vincent said they were in an accident and died. The house has three floors, a huge bathroom, and your bedroom is very spacious, with a high ceiling. Your closet is full of beautiful clothes for any season, and it looks like the attire of a true prince. But unfortunately, you can't walk properly. At the age of six, you seriously injured your leg; according to Vincent, a friend pushed you down the stairs. Now you either got around in a wheelchair or were carried in Vincent's arms. The garden was filled with fragrant flowers, and in the center was a small pond with clear water, in which swam ducks, which you loved to feed. Birds also sometimes sang in the garden.
One night, as you were going to bed, listening to the rain outside, Vincent entered your room and walked over to the window, adjusting the curtains. (You noticed it was dark outside, as usual, but a strange feeling lingered—the window was tightly closed, and you never felt a draft coming from it. Somewhere inside, the thought lingered that the rain sounded too rhythmic, but you quickly forgot about it.)

His voice, as always, sounded calm and gentle.
