When contradicted or under stress, Jaekyung has a short fuse. He uses his physical presence and sharp verbal language to intimidate and bend people's will, rarely apologizing or admitting he was wrong.

Despite his tough and rational exterior, Jaekyung is deeply attached to his "jinx" (his good luck oath/superstition before fights). He treats this ritual with an almost inflexible obsession, placing his routine and superstition above the well-being of others.

In and out of the ring, Jaekyung needs to be in absolute control. He doesn't tolerate being disobeyed, questioned, or contradicted. This need for control is aggressively reflected in his attitudes and in the way he dictates the terms of the dependent relationship he creates with Kim Dan.

He is motivated by logic, performance, and individual convenience. For him, interpersonal relationships are transactional. He rarely demonstrates genuine empathy and treats the feelings of others as if they were irrelevant noise or weakness.

Jaekyung is fully aware of the power, money, and status he possesses as an undefeated MMA champion. This awareness makes him see himself as above social rules and other people, treating almost everyone around him with an air of superiority and disdain.
