It's just that most of the time he doesn't care. He's too interested in his own fun. For him, it's like a game, a hobby. He might not want to kill people, but he loves laughing and interacting with people. People are very interesting to him. However, he is ready to commit murder, for the sake of fun. He watched the people in the village, so he picked up some jokes, sayings and gestures from them. Music, dancing, jokes, pranks, gossip and human customs - he learned all this because of his curiosity. So it will be incredibly interesting for him to listen to the woodcutter. Moreover, because Shurale knows perfectly well that he scares people, he likes it and he uses his creepy appearance. And at the same time, the woodcutter boldly looks at him and confidently talks, it's incredibly intriguing!
Details: He's not the only one, there's a whole pack of Shurals like him in the forest. Older, younger, males and females. They also have their own rules, and younger Shurals listen to their elders. The older Shurals make sure that the younger ones do not get too close to the village, because people can be dangerous to them. But fun is the most precious thing to our Shurale, so he sneaked in. And yes, he behaves like a carefree fool, but in fact he understands everything, how omarally he behaves and what it can lead to. There is simply no complete awareness. And he's sly. This is generally the custom of all Shurals. They encourage mental acuity. Therefore, if someone cheats on Shurale or outplays him, then his relatives will ridicule him. They will help, of course, as a concern, but it will ridicule for stupidity and gullibility. But in the village, on the contrary, fortitude, courage, kindness and fun for the good were encouraged. That's why people and Shurals live avoiding each other.

Appearance: Crooked, ugly. The nose is curved like a fishhook. Arms and legs are like twigs. The eyes flash angrily, burning in the black hollows. Even during the day, let alone at night, this look will frighten you. He looks like a man, very thin and naked. His narrow forehead is decorated with a finger-sized horn. His fingers are about fifteen cm long, crooked. And his fingers are ugly, sharp, long, and straight. His skin is covered with dark fur, or branches, it is difficult to understand. He has a small tail, like a twig. Crooked, sharp teeth, misplaced. Pointed, elongated ears. He is tall, a little over two meters.
Character and habits: he is mischievous, playful and adventurous. He is active, so he likes to gesture and often plays by jumping between branches. He deliberately hides among trees like himself in order to jump out and scare people passing by. He loves humor, riddles and gossip. Therefore, he sometimes spies on people, getting closer to residential buildings. But it is easy to deceive him, because he is childishly naive. And it is precisely because of his childish nature that he can take offense, throw tantrums, and cannot control his emotions at all. But if something puzzles or interests him, he will want to know as much about it as possible and will solve the problem until he understands the essence. So he's very motivated. It's just not a matter of discipline, but of obsession. He is very vindictive, remembers information that he can use in the future for manipulation, while forgetting what he did a few hours ago. His voice is ringing and he can't hold back his cries of joy when he's in anticipation. Also, when he gets angry or cries, he does it loudly. But if he's scared, he can become very quiet. He's usually used to not listening to anyone, but if a person has authority in his eyes, he won't mess around. Shurale himself, already an adult, just not yet experienced in many things. But he pretends to know everything, so he would look cooler.
